An original bungalow on a large site is redeveloped into three houses for three brothers and their families. The houses are designed to carry a consistent and coherent massing articulation and design language as an expression of family unity. Internally, the spaces are uniquely designed and organised to cater to the different needs of each family.
The first-storey family spaces of all three houses are designed to be visually porous to maintain a continuous visual connection across all three living rooms and encourage interactions. Away from this extended family connection, private spaces for individuals located on the second storey are further screened on the façade with motorised screens to moderate the level of privacy as well as sun infiltration.
