House @ 3 Salam Walk

The design took advantage of the massing opportunity of the existing house to create volumes puncturing 2 levels, conveying a sense of spacious and allowing daylight to permeate even the deepest parts of the house. Shade from the afternoon sun is provided by a regiment of twisted metal mesh ribbons set along the west facing facade. These ribbon screens allows filtered lights through without obstructing views of the blue tropical sky from inside the house. Full height sliding folding doors along the length of the house can be slid or folded away to erase any boundaries between inside and outside.
