House @ 43 Jalan Sampurna
Project Scope: Reconstruction
Completion: 2013
Situated in a good class bungalow area, this detached house is designed with luxurious expanded volumes, comfortably catering to the large extended family living within. The spaces were designed to be spatially and visually interconnected, while retaining options for privacy through various slide away compartment dividers. A central tall volume connects the spaces within the house and is topped by a large skylight which is strategically placed, allowing daylight to filter in, creating a sense of connection to the external environment even in the deepest part of the house. A large pool surrounds the entire rear of house. Sitting atop a hill, this part of the house overlooks an expansive cascading greenery and large picture windows are designed to take advantage of this view.
