House @ 44 Jalan Jambu Ayer
Project Scope: New Erection
Completion: 2025
This two-storey plus attic bungalow merges with a modern classic design with a contemporary twist, showcasing the client’s eclectic collection of both modern and traditional art and display collections. Drawing inspiration from classic black-and-white colonial architecture, the home incorporates timeless elements like concrete breezeblocks, a pitched roof, and patterned tiles. Modern touches, such as an aluminum facade at the car porch and aluminum louvred screens at the back, provide a fresh contrast. Designed for a young family with three children, the second floor contains bedrooms, while the attic offers an entertainment room, gym, guest room, and study. The double-volume space on the second floor enhances visual connectivity between the second storey and attic, while allowing natural light to flow deeper into the interior spaces.
