House @ 20 Jalan Tenang

The house is designed with a basement and 3 levels above ground on a relatively tight and shallow site. In a dense urban environment, the design created its own sense of context, space and ambience with the introduction of a pol that runs the depth of the land. The pool forms a buffer from the immediate neighbour, a focus for the ground spaces, as well as catalyst for environmental cooling. The basement also draws natural light from the pool through a plexiglass wall between the pool and basement. The distinctive facade accentuates the internal cascade of spaces through a series of flowing folded planes.
