Southbridge Jazz @ 7atenine

An existing restaurant located in the Esplanade was refreshed with the incorporation of a jazz club and bar. Cool and sassy hues were selected for the walls and ceiling to complement the live jazz environment. The performance stage is imagined as the musical instrument from which a pixelated cacophony of musical notes, reimagined as tiles of absorbent acoustic panels and reflected mirror panels, spews from the stage and echoes down the walls and ceilings of the club. Both materials and colours are specifically selected to serve both as visual delights as well as to moderate the acoustic quality of the original restaurant interior. The business’ logo was also abstracted and incorporated as a backdrop of the stage to create a neutral yet unique background to the jazz performance.
