The park was conceived as a green counter to the adjacent Woodlands Health Cluster and is likely the largest therapeutic garden in Singapore. It is shaped and detailed with care and concerns for the users, intended as a naturalistic forest park for the people, who are largely patients from the adjacent healthcare facilities. The park spaces are seamlessly connected via a continuously sloped footpath that allows universal accessibility throughout. The specially tailored design caters to both patients and the public who share the park. The coherence in design language permeates the entire site. The park is open, and its unblocked vistas complement a clear state of mind for visitors. Colours, textures, materials and planting choices are selected with care to reinforce the process of healing through engagement with nature.
