The park is designed to capitalise on a series of abandoned industrial spaces located amidst a naturalistic parkland. Making full use of the unique quality of partly natural and partly man-impacted topography and water resources, the design adopts an ecological approach to further enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of the tourist areas in the WooLong Lake district.
The zone within which the park is located is intended for cultural tourism, sports health and wellness tourism, and modern sports and leisure tourism. The park design balances the addition of new infrastructure to cater to tourism needs while retaining and reinforcing the natural landscape and waterscape as much as possible. Original existing farm buildings and factory buildings are repurposed as tourist facilities, adding to the charm while reinforcing the idea of sustainable development.
